It’s been 4 months since Facebook has made live streaming video available to everyone. Previously it was only available to verified accounts of celebrities and influencers. Now it has rolled out to the masses and Facebook is taking no prisoners. The recent explosion in Facebook video takes aim at Periscope, Snapchat, and YouTube. At Walk West, (formerly Greenroom Communications), we have seen Facebook heavily favoring video content in the Newsfeed starting last summer in 2015. Recently, we have also seen great uplift in engagement and reach on our client accounts by using live video to broadcast events, AMA-style interviews, and fun, interactive fan content.
Candace just proved that Facebook Live could help usher in a new wave of authentic, live video stars.
