The Visual Storyteller.
As Director of Video Production at Walk West, Melanie ensures the visual communications developed for all clients are compelling and drive action. As part of her diverse skill set, Melanie also trains top executives and CEOs on how to handle media relations, present themselves in front of a camera, public speaking skills, and crisis communication.
Before joining Walk West, Melanie spent over two decades building an accomplished resume as a television news anchor and reporter for news outlets across the United States, tackling the tough issues and always diving deeper into each story. A natural born communicator, Melanie feels that everyone has a voice and should use it. “I don’t think you can be successful being timid. I am not timid, so I appreciate and welcome everyone’s opinions and ideas.”
Personal accolades and client awards aside, Melanie believes professional accomplishments are only worthwhile if you give back to the community. That’s why Melanie spends what little spare time she has to volunteer on local and national non-profit causes like The Green Chair Project, The American Heart Association’s “Triangle Go Red for Women Luncheon”, the annual March of Dimes March for Babies Walk/Run and more.
How does Melanie #ForgeAhead: Changes are inevitable so why not plan for change? A relentless mindset around planning allows you to be one step ahead and take advantage of change.
